As the lines between publicity and marketing continue to blur and discoverability continues to morph, Saga Press is seeking a Publicity & Influencer Community Outreach Assistant. This is a cutting-edge position that will work with all of Saga’s Marketing and Publicity Department to help build bridges between legacy media and online gathering spaces such as Reddit, Discord, and others.
We want to meet our readership where they are, and we want to be more involved on the ground level in such communities, helping to foster transparency, build community and bring our books to the people who are most excited about them.

Requirements

• Must be extremely passionate about genre, particularly fantasy, science fiction, and horror, and has familiarity with Canva, Excel, Airtable, Sprout, and Mailchimp
• The ideal candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, embraces innovation, is meticulous with details, and possesses the ability to prioritize high-touch projects and stay supremely organized in a creative, rapidly expanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting 3-4 front list titles per season, particularly those titles that are ongoing series and/or reissues
• Assist in creating new influencer contacts, pitching to curated lists, booking influencer virtual tours, and supporting Saga Says Crew offers and fulfillment, influencer on-site events, influencer box mailings, brainstorming creative ideas and social media brand and partner collaborations
• Admin tasks including mailings support, awards submissions, AMEX charges, maintaining and updating contacts database
