The Public Works Fleet Supervisor is the first-line supervisor responsible for coordinating, prioritizing, and scheduling the repair and preventive maintenance activities of the Heavy Equipment Repair Shop. This position reports to and is distinguished from the Public Works Fleet Manager in that the latter class has overall responsibility for the Agency’s fleet coordination and repair. This class is also distinguished from the next lower class of Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic in that the latter class is a lead worker involved in assigning and reviewing work whereas the former class is the first-line supervisor of the Heavy Equipment repair Shop.
