The Transportation Enforcement Branch investigates possible violations of the Public Utilities Code, Commission regulations, and other California statutes involving passenger transportation carriers, which include transportation network companies, limousines, buses, and ferries. The Transportation Enforcement Branch investigates, researches, identifies, analyzes critical enforcement issues, testifies in formal proceedings, issues citations, and may develop appropriate recommendations as to settlements and penalty determinations. Under the supervision of a Program and Project Supervisor, the PURA V conducts complex economic, policy, and/or technical analyses and research on passenger transportation matters.
