About The Position

Help the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife fulfill its mission: To protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations. We are hiring for one full-time, permanent position located in Salem, Oregon. What you will do: In this position you will deliver high-quality customer service to the general public by responding to inquiries regarding fish and wildlife licenses, regulations, and agency services in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. This will be done through email, phone, and in-person contact. You will also provide user support to license agents on the statewide Electronic License System (ELS), and support for various agency activities and obligations. Requirements

  • Two years of experience in customer service.
  • One year of which must have included explanation of rules, regulations, and policies and responsibility for dealing with unique or unusual situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a fast-paced office with multiple priorities
  • Experience using Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote/OneDrive
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Experience using Outlook email and calendar
  • Knowledge of technical/biological terminology and ORS/OAR language
  • Experience and/or exposure working with fish and wildlife.
  • Experience in providing good customer service to variety of staff and members of the public.
