Public Service Interns receive training and complete a variety of assignments in staff activities directly relating to their major course of study while enrolled in an educational institution. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. The Aging and Disability Services Division is currently recruiting for a Temporary Public Service Intern 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies in the following program: Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS). This is a full-time position that's under the direction of a Developmental Specialist that provides specialized behavioral services and direct services to children under the age of three with disabilities (including but not limited to autism, vision and hearing impairments, genetics syndromes and prematurity) under the federal regulations of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The Public Service Intern series does not lead to permanent employment with the State of Nevada.
