Public Service Interns receive training and complete a variety of assignments in staff activities directly relating to their major course of study while enrolled in an educational institution. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. This position will be located in the Las Vegas office of the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation in the Rehabilitation division. The internship will be in the Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Instructor field. The intern will support certified O&M specialists in delivering mobility instruction and services to individuals with vision impairments. This internship provides hands-on experience in travel training, program documentation, evaluation reporting, and community engagement. The O&M Intern will gain practical skills in assisting with evaluations, instructional activities, and professional reporting, while developing knowledge of accessibility, adaptive techniques, and participant-centered service delivery.
