About The Position

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We’re looking for a dynamic, bilingual (Spanish) professional to help drive the State Bar’s access to justice initiatives—both online and in person! In this part-time role (20 hours/week), you’ll be the go-to point of contact for our Public Service Center, create engaging social media content, coordinate outreach with legal service providers, and represent the Bar at events that truly matter. If you thrive on building relationships, organizing impactful programs, and raising awareness for legal services, this is your chance to shine. Some evening and weekend work keeps things exciting, and you’ll play a key role in connecting people with the help they need.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus two (2) years’ administrative experience. Bilingual (Spanish) required.
  • Should be customer-service driven. Position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy along with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Should have a pleasant and personable demeanor.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Good spelling and grammar skills.
  • Excellent follow-through skills.
  • Ability to write content and correspondence.
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized.
  • Must have excellent telephone etiquette and verbal communications.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
  • Is a self-starter and can work independently.
  • Ability to file alphabetically and operate general office equipment.

  • Microsoft windows environment with Office Suite to include formatting and production of word processing documents, spreadsheets, and reports. Ability use tools for video conferencing, as needed.
  • Position may require travel. Thus, reliable transportation is required. If using personal vehicle, must ensure have driver’s license and appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Regular attendance is required. Overtime may be required to fulfill duties of position. At times, individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a point of contact for the Public Service Center (PSC).
  • Assists with legal services outreach and promotion.
  • Helps coordinate outreach to social service agencies to promote PSC events.
  • Monitors Find A Lawyer and PSC inbox.
  • Handle incoming PSC phone calls.
  • Creates social media content.
  • Writes and coordinates information on websites.
  • Adding scheduled events
  • Updating and removing outdated information
  • Monitoring content for accuracy
  • Assists with community engagement and promoting the access to justice programs to the community.
  • Attending stakeholder events.
  • Attending scheduled PSC events.
  • Actively involved in raising public awareness of the access to justice responsibilities.
  • Builds relationships with stakeholders.
  • Engaging in outreach and correspondence.
  • Represents the Bar at the annual convention, public meetings and other related programs for access to justice.
  • Access to Justice Committee

  • Performs all other related duties, as assigned.
