About The Position

Oversees planning and execution of small and relatively simple projects to support the Public Sector organization. Works as part of a team to develop and implement programs to support the organization's strategic direction related to marketing, education, compliance, and other content areas.

Requirements

  • Must live and work in the US.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: Five years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to identify clear goals, track progress against them and communicate results.
  • Strategic and creative thinker who can ensure public sector programs are aligned with and linked back to larger organizational goals and objectives.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to synthesize and tailor complex material into simple and easily digestible content by experts and non-experts alike, including Corporate and Area stakeholders.
  • Customer know-how: Strong understanding of WM’s diverse customer segments, or an ability to derive a fact-based perspective using primary and secondary research to gather insights into customers’ needs, wants and pain points.
  • In order to travel by air or access federal property, federal law requires individuals have a REAL ID or an acceptable alternative. This position may require the successful candidate to travel by air for business reasons or service federal property. Accordingly, successful candidates must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and analyzes customer communication and outreach processes, and monitors compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist with development of program strategy, assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and determines and acquires resources needed.
  • Develops and maintains project plans and budgets and prepares and analyzes project performance reports, integrating findings from campaign outcomes and educational material effectiveness.
  • Serves as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project.
  • Identify and standardize processes and procedures that support programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals, including evidence‑based improvements to communication and outreach materials.
  • Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures, incorporating research‑driven best practices to enhance educational resources and stakeholder communications.
