The Security Department is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to serve as Public Safety Communications Representatives. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of facilities, personnel, and operations. The Public Safety Communications Representative serves as the primary communications point for the organization and coordinates responses to emergencies and security-related events. This position requires the ability to operate multi-part communications and surveillance systems, monitor security infrastructure, and effectively coordinate with internal departments and external agencies including law enforcement and government personnel. The role requires strong decision-making abilities, the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and the professionalism to operate effectively. Serve as the primary point of contact for Electric Boat Security, Electric Boat Fire Department, contractors, law enforcement agencies, and government personnel. Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, vendors, and security personnel through telephone, alarm, and radio systems. Evaluate incoming information and independently coordinate appropriate emergency response actions. Maintain 24/7 surveillance of high risk areas, detecting potential breaches and mitigating threats, . Complete required incident documentation and reports in accordance with company procedures. Monitor CCTV camera systems, access control systems, and alarm systems to ensure facility security and safety. Using cameras surveillance of building perimeters, restricted areas, entrances, and sensitive locations for suspicious or unauthorized activity. Detect suspicious behavior, theft, safety hazards, or policy violations. Operate multi-channel radio dispatch systems to communicate with security teams and external agencies. Coordinate communications across multiple departments and response units during incidents. Maintain radio discipline and ensure accurate transmission of critical information. Provide timely updates to leadership and appropriate response teams. Triage and prioritize multiple simultaneous incidents or requests. Assist investigators with internal and external investigations, including theft or mis-charging cases. Conduct and document surveillance investigations related to violations of company policies or criminal activity. Maintain detailed records, incident reports, and documentation to support investigations and security operations. Provide information and surveillance support to EB OPSEC and investigations when required. Triage and prioritize multiple simultaneous incidents or requests.
