About The Position

We are seeking motivated students to join our Summer 2026 Internship Program in Corporate Communications. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting internal and external communications, media relations, and community engagement. Interns will work closely with experienced PR professionals and contribute to projects that strengthen Santee Cooper's brand, reputation, and customer outreach.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a degree in Law, Library Science, Business, Management or a related field of study
• Have completed their first year at a 2-year college/university (transfer program) or 4-year college/university
• Be enrolled as a full-time student Fall 2026
• Successfully undergo pre-employment physical and drug screen if selected for this position

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing press releases, newsletters, and other communications materials
• Support social media content creation and digital storytelling
• Help coordinate community outreach events, sponsorships, and customer engagement programs
• Participate in media monitoring and research to track coverage and public sentiment
• Assist with internal communications campaigns that promote employee engagement
