About The Position

Protects and enhances the reputation of COUNTRY Financial through external communications. Supports corporate vision, mission, objectives and values through external message planning, development and delivery. Ensures the right messages get to the right external audiences using the appropriate medium based on best practices and which meet legal, compliance, brand and other standards. Ensures consistency and alignment of messages with corporate strategy. How does this role make an impact? - Works closely with client advocacy, marketing, and legal stakeholders to support effective external audience messaging and management of public image. - Establishes and maintains relationships with executive leadership and works closely with business leaders across the organization to plan and deliver effective external communications. - Analyzes, recommends, develops and implements external communications ensuring strategic, consistent and clear messages are shared through appropriate channels.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
  • Proven experience leading external communications or public relations strategies that strengthen trust and protect organizational reputation
  • Strong media relations and messaging expertise, with the ability to clearly connect messages to the right audiences through the right channels
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leaders and cross‑functional teams to deliver aligned, high‑impact communications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity, credibility, and brand consistency
  • Experience in regulated, corporate, or service‑driven environments; financial services or insurance experience preferred
