As a PR Senior Specialist – Enterprise, this role is critical in shaping Baker Hughes’ external communications, strengthening brand reputation, and supporting enterprise‑level initiatives. The specialist will develop high‑quality content, manage media relations, and collaborate across functions to ensure consistent, aligned, and impactful messaging. This position involves working closely with product marketing, People & Culture, brand, and external partners to deliver integrated communications that reinforce Baker Hughes’ leadership in energy technology, innovation, and community impact.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Have 6–8 years of experience in media relations, PR, or corporate communications.
  • Have demonstrate strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with mastery of AP Style.
  • Have bring proven experience in proactive pitching, media engagement, and crisis management.
  • Have been able to manage multiple projects under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Have possess strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Have demonstrate the ability to provide strategic PR counsel and manage client needs effectively.
  • Have foster positive stakeholder relationships and facilitate cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Have been familiar with AI‑assisted tools for content drafting, compliance checks, and workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and editing diverse communication materials, including press releases, external messaging, and media briefs.
  • Ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines, enterprise narrative, strategic objectives, brand standards, enterprise priorities, and compliance requirements.
  • Contributing to the strategic planning and execution of multi‑channel communication campaigns and integrated communication planning across campaigns, announcements, and corporate initiatives.
  • Engaging proactively with internal teams, external partners, agencies, and vendors to drive alignment and ensure timely execution.
  • Supporting Baker Hughes Foundation and community affairs PR initiatives in partnership with People & Culture.
  • Managing media relations, including pitching, relationship building, and responding to inquiries.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, trade publications, and industry influencers.
  • Developing compelling stories that translate complex technology into clear, business‑relevant narratives.
  • Leveraging data and insights to inform PR strategy and strengthen message effectiveness.
  • Applying crisis communication best practices, supporting proactive crisis communication planning and execution.
  • Maintaining a calm, professional approach during sensitive or high‑pressure situations.
  • Ensuring alignment with legal, compliance, and enterprise communications teams during crisis and issues management.
  • Facilitating approvals and stakeholder engagement across functions.
