About The Position

Qualcomm Technologies is looking for a tech-savvy, self-motivated Communications professional to support the Mobile, Computing and XR (MCX) Communications Team, working closely with Product Marketing, Product Management and Global PR subsidiaries, to help drive Qualcomm’s Mobile (Handsets) marketing communications efforts ongoing and for key launch moments. You will be immersed in technology communications as Qualcomm continues to push boundaries of the Mobile Industry, by supporting Snapdragon product and partner launches. The role is ideal for someone with PR and Communications experience looking to join a high-functioning organization, learn and grow in technology communications. The individual will be responsible for: Developing materials – including press notes, pitches, briefing sheets, FAQs and managing media lists Manage the PR agency on work such as reporting, deliverables, media lists, project management, contracting, etc. Participate in market update and strategy conversations at the center of the Mobile industry and engage in general media monitoring to watch trends and identify opportunities for Qualcomm’s Mobile team to engage with a news cycle. Build and maintain relationships with global media outlets, specifically North America Mobile press, analysts, and creators. Gain thorough insight into the business and industry and provide internal stakeholders with unsolicited, insightful ideas on improving efficiencies of Mobile (Handsets) communications. Participate in market update and strategy conversations about these industries and engage in general media monitoring to watch trends and identify opportunities for Qualcomm’s compute team to engage with a news cycle. Work with the Company’s Creator team to strategize and brainstorm visual storytelling for the Mobile business. Maintain a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration with agency team members and across marketing and communications teams. Manage relevant incoming media inquiries, recommend responses, and content. Attend and represent the Company at international tradeshows and partner events. This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA and is expected to comply with the Company's onsite work policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Public Relations or related work experience.
  • OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of Public Relations or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience with strong organizational abilities and proficiency in computer applications
  • Software Proficiency: Solid PowerPoint skills, proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Familiarity with social media platforms; Ability to learn and master company AI and project management tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Writer, Adobe Workfront or similar
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or greater
