About The Position

We are seeking a junior to mid-level associate with 3-5 years of regulatory experience in the online or land-based gaming space to join our market-leading Gaming practice. Our clients include many of the world’s leading gaming operators, technology providers, and adjacent-market innovators. You will support partners and senior attorneys in providing regulatory and compliance advice to leading gaming operators, technology providers, and innovators. You will be exposed to a broad range of matters in the online and land-based gaming sector, sports wagering, and emerging adjacent markets.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in gaming, sports wagering, iGaming, fantasy sports, or related fields (prior law firm, in-house, or regulatory agency experience will be considered).
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate should be highly motivated, eager to learn, proactive, communicative, creative and have an appreciation for the business of law.
  • Membership in the State Bar of the office where you wish to be based (or ability to become admitted promptly).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on matters relating to state and federal gaming laws, regulations, and enforcement trends.
  • Review and analyze proposed product features and business models for compliance with relevant state and federal laws.
  • Engage with new and emerging verticals in adjacent or related markets.
  • Assist in preparing regulatory filings and supporting documentation for client licensing and approval processes.
  • Support senior attorneys in advising clients on multistate operational strategies and jurisdictional issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other practice groups on cross-disciplinary matters, including transactional and litigation matters.
  • Engage in client meetings, calls, and pitches.
