About The Position

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies. We are seeking an experienced Public Outreach Specialist II to support public communications, outreach, and stakeholder engagement for large-scale airport infrastructure and capital improvement projects. This role supports the Terminal Development Improvement Program (TDIP), a major airport infrastructure initiative, and focuses on public communications, outreach, and stakeholder engagement across all phases of project delivery. Salary Range: $150K/Year-$165K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Planning, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in public or stakeholder communications, preferably supporting infrastructure, transportation, aviation, or civic projects
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience engaging with diverse communities, government agencies, media, and public stakeholders
  • Familiarity with public-sector project lifecycles, construction phasing, and outreach requirements
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
  • Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Benchmark)
  • Ability to pass a federal background check

Responsibilities

  • Develop and distribute public-facing communication materials, including FAQs, fact sheets, advisories, press releases, presentations, and briefing materials, ensuring consistency with approved messaging and branding
  • Support internal and external communications by coordinating timely information sharing with airport teams, public relations, community relations, government affairs, operations, contractors, and external partners
  • Attend project meetings to gather updates and translate technical or construction-related information into clear, accessible messaging for general audiences
  • Coordinate logistics for media events, press tours, milestone activities, and other public-facing communications
  • Support issue and inquiry management by tracking public questions, complaints, and concerns and escalating sensitive issues as needed
  • Maintain and update project website content, including advisories, schedules, announcements, and meeting materials
  • Support visual and digital communications, including coordination of photography and filming, maintaining a project photo library, and assisting with social media content
  • Assist with stakeholder and community engagement activities, maintaining organized outreach records
  • Collaborate with contractors to ensure communication protocols are followed
  • Provide day-to-day communications support to project leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Willingness to participate in occasional site visits and public events as needed
  • Comfortable with regular interaction with contractors, consultants, and community stakeholders
