The Tennessee Department of Health is seeking a Public Health Program Director 2 within the Maternal and Infant Health section of the Division of Family Health and Wellness. Under direction, the Public Health Program Director 2 position is responsible for overseeing multiple competitive Maternal and Child Health (MCH) grants funded through Tennessee’s Rural Health Transformation Program, utilizing the Healthcare Resiliency Program (HRP) model. This position provides programmatic oversight for grants focused on strengthening maternal health systems, expanding access to care in rural and maternity care desert counties, and improving perinatal outcomes through investments in facilities, workforce, technology, and care coordination. This role supports implementation of statewide strategies aligned with the Tennessee Maternal Health Strategic Plan and the Rural Health Transformation Plan, ensuring funded projects demonstrate measurable impact, sustainability, and compliance with federal and state requirements.
