Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Under limited supervision, uses a basic knowledge of public health principles to analyze, develop, implement, and promote new and creative strategies and solutions to address public health issues and challenges. Addresses public health issues by providing education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and research. Works with programs or studies designed to evaluate the prevalence or surveillance of public health issues and the effectiveness of targeted interventions. May provide technical assistance to organizations to include presentations, web-based resources, strategies, and educational forums to address specific public health issues. May work with clinical study sites on patient recruitment and data collection standards. Assists with data collection and data analysis. Contributes to proposals, protocols, data analysis plans, reports, manuscripts, and presentation of study findings. May assist in designing, developing, and conducting targeted training initiatives. May collaborate with external organizations to develop action plans and goals to achieve specific objectives. Performs related responsibilities as required. ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS: Project support Maintain project workplans, action logs, and shared drives/SharePoint with clean version control and file naming. Schedule/host cross-time-zone meetings; prep agendas; capture minutes; drive follow-ups to closure. Draft clear partner emails and internal summaries; prepare meeting packets and briefers. Budget, SOW & reporting support Help assemble partner scopes of work and simple budget tables; track milestones and receipts; flag risks. Compile inputs for donor and CDC reports; maintain reporting calendars and evidence folders. Workshops, trainings & events Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual workshops (invites, tech checks, materials, notes). Support adaptation of interactive workshops to virtual formats and follow-up documentation. Data & communications Light data tasks for member surveys, case studies, and working groups (basic cleaning in Excel; table/figure prep). Assist with short success stories and web copy based on project outputs. Procurement & compliance Support simple vendor setup, quotes, and POs; keep documentation audit-ready.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in Public Health, a master of science degree in Public Health or Health Education, OR a master's degree in Development Practice OR a master's degree in another field and one year of public health experience.

Nice To Haves

  • MPH or other relevant master’s degree.
  • French proficiency (email/meeting support) strongly preferred given the Francophone portfolio.
  • Experience in global health, international development, higher ed, or NGO environments.
  • Experience working with national public health institutes and ministries of health in the areas of emergency preparedness and response, global health security, cross boarder strengthening, communications, etc.
  • Exposure to scopes of work, budgets, or donor reporting.
