About The Position

As a Public Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the multi-cloud strategy of our client through the design and development of advanced, scalable, and secure reference architectures across Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will lead cross-functional efforts to integrate key technologies such as Apptio Cloudability, ServiceNow, CyberArk, Appgate, GitHub, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, and MuleSoft. This is a highly technical role with an emphasis on reusable, strategic cloud patterns and automation, enabling efficient cloud adoption and governance at scale. While this Architect position is fully remote within the US, this person must be able to work and support Central time zone working hours (8am-5pm) to efficiently support the end-client.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture roles with deep expertise in at least two public cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP, and/or OCI)
  • Must have experience designing referenced architectures used across large enterprise environments
  • Hands-on expertise in at least one of the following: Apptio Cloudability (highly preferred) and ServiceNow integration (via API) CyberArk and Appgate implementation GitHub and Terraform in IaC pipelines Prometheus, Grafana, and MuleSoft
  • Experience within security, compliance, identity, and/or network architecture in public cloud
  • Experience with REST APIs and automation tooling

Nice To Haves

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Pro, Azure Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, OCI Architect)
  • Experience in multi-cloud FinOps and cloud cost governance
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
  • Strategic thinker with attention to technical detail
  • Passion for developing reusable frameworks and automation

Responsibilities

  • Reference Architecture Development (Primary Duty): Design and maintain cloud-native reference architectures for Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI that align with enterprise security, scalability, compliance, and operational requirements
  • Develop and publish end-to-end solution blueprints for IaaS, PaaS, containerized, and serverless workloads
  • Incorporate Zero Trust and Privileged Access Management principles within architectures
  • Collaborate with application teams, DevOps, security, and operations to promote consistent architectural practices across clouds
  • Multi-Cloud Integration and Automation: Design and implement integrations between Apptio Cloudability and ServiceNow via RESTful APIs for cost management, chargeback, and reporting automation
  • Implement CyberArk for credential management and Appgate SDP for secure access control within cloud-native designs
  • Implement IBM Turbonomic for capacity resilience and integrate with ServiceNow
  • Establish and enforce standards for using GitHub as the source control for Terraform-based Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployments
  • Observability and Monitoring Architecture: Deploy and configure Prometheus and Grafana for full-stack observability across cloud workloads
  • Integrate observability tooling with MuleSoft APIs for performance monitoring and alerting
  • Governance, Security, and Best Practices: Define architectural standards and cloud governance models including tagging, policy enforcement, and FinOps
  • Advocate and implement DevSecOps practices across all cloud environments
  • Evaluate new cloud services, tools, and industry trends to ensure modern, future-proof architectures
  • Documentation and Enablement: Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
  • Conduct workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions with technical teams and business stakeholders
