About The Position

Responsible for the on-going operations and supervision of the Environmental Services Department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years related experience with a minimum of 1year supervisory experience or combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
  • Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the EVS Manager as required.
  • Supervise preparation of work schedules for all EVS shift.
  • Creates schedules, daily and monthly rotation of sections and monitors time off requests.
  • Monitors performance and attendance of staff and adherence to company policies and procedures, including all Tribal Ordinance and Regulations.
  • Issues supplies and equipment as required.
  • Performs inventory of supplies, receives and checks in deliveries and reports discrepancies to Manager.
  • Submits requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Perform duties of Attendant, when needed.
  • Assists the EVS Manager with the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of EVS staff.
  • Provide excellent guest service to both guest and internal clients.
  • Schedules and trains the environmental services staff and insures that performance standards are met.
  • Participates in dispute resolution for environmental services staff and refers disciplinary action to department manager.
  • Leads the evaluation process for assigned staff and provides substantial input to the department manager about the performance of assigned staff.
