About The Position

The Public Area Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the standards of cleanliness are met. This is a working Supervisor position that will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel public areas. The role will be 80% cleaning and 20% administrative duties. Requirements

  • Experience in the hospitality industry as a room attendant or similar role
  • Experience cleaning in a customer focused environment
  • Experience with specific Brand as it applies
  • Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, and distribution of all hotel linens.
  • Operate as a working supervisor
  • Assign tasks inspect work to ensure it’s up to standard
  • Provide training for team members
  • Overall supervision of the department
  • Inventory supplies and provide lists of needed items in a timely fashion
  • Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping services and takes corrective action
  • Create and manage schedules to ensure proper coverage
  • Fill in where scheduling assistance is needed
  • Monitor productivity and workflow to maximize output
  • Vacuuming carpets
  • Dusting and polishing furniture
  • Emptying trash containers
  • Cleaning public areas, such as corridors
  • Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs
  • Updating status of guest rooms on assignment board
  • Restocking cleaning cart and/or supplies
  • Follow all health and safety rules
  • Attends meetings as required
  • All responsibilities related to the position
