About The Position

Public Area Attendants will be responsible for performing light cleaning duties and the removal of notable amounts of trash and recycling to ensure the cleanliness of all public/common areas including high volume use restroom toilets and sinks at Killington’s properties. PAA’s will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in lodges and dining areas, hallways, lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other areas. This position is also responsible for assisting in the maintenance of outdoor service areas, loading docks, building entrances and garbage disposal areas by removing snow and spreading sand/grit. All duties to be performed while upholding Killington’s hospitality standards to both our staff and guests.

Requirements

  • Three months of manual labor experience in a professional environment
  • Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines & uphold resort Hospitality Standards while interacting with guests and coworkers, respond to all guests & fellow staff members in a courteous, efficient manner
  • Ability to lift 30lbs consistently
  • Must be physically able to walk/stand for 8+ hours
  • Willingness to answer guest's frequently asked questions on a regular basis, providing directions to various resort services & locations in a helpful manner
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
  • Must pay attention to detail while completing tasks
  • Must be able to work both independently and part of a team
  • Must have excellent time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness in lodges, lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, stairways, etc.
  • Ensure dining areas are clean and straightened, focusing on tables, chairs, inside and outside patio seating areas
  • Ensure glass doors and windows remain clean
  • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms-stock paper products, soaps and trash bags, emptying restroom trash
  • Maintain recycle/trash stations - empty dining room trash bags, recycle bags and compost bins.
  • Stock water cups, tissues, and napkins
  • Shuttle cafeteria trays to and from dish machine
  • Operate floor cleaning equipment including floor scrubber and vacuum cleaner
  • May work early mornings or late night shifts
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
