Touchmark in the West Hills, Portland's prestigious full-service retirement community, is looking for a professional, high-energy Pub Server with excellent communication skills and an affinity for senior clientele.
As a Pub Server, you will enrich lives every day by creating a friendly and inviting dining experience for Touchmark residents and guests. Your duties will include such tasks as greeting residents by name, taking meal orders and answering questions about the menu, serving meals and beverages, and ensuring that the dining room is clean, attractive, and operating smoothly. You will work in our Swede Hill Pub serving beer, wine, classic cocktails and food to residents. You may also serve during special events and catered functions that take place at our community.

The successful candidate will have a neat, professional appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. Furthermore, the perfect candidate will be efficient, able to juggle multiple simultaneous requests, professional, able to remember residents and their preferences as well as their habits, knowledgeable about our food and beverage offerings, and personable.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old
• Be willing to work occasional weekends and holidays
• Be able to lift and carry trays of food and beverages, and stay on your feet for long periods of time
• Be able to read, write, and speak English
• Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors

Responsibilities

• Greeting residents by name
• Taking meal orders and answering questions about the menu
• Serving meals and beverages
• Ensuring that the dining room is clean, attractive, and operating smoothly
• Serving beer, wine, classic cocktails and food to residents
• Serving during special events and catered functions
