Shift hours: Monday - Friday 10:00am to 3:00pm Position Summary: The Teller serves as the first point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service while accurately and efficiently processing a wide range of financial transactions. This role ensures a positive customer experience, protects bank assets, and adheres to all established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities: None The above represents general responsibilities for the position. Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Customer service and cash-handling experience preferred
Prior banking experience preferred
Superior customer service skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Professional, positive, and courteous attitude
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Commitment to maintaining customer and bank confidentiality at all times
Basic math proficiency and computer skills
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g. coin bags)

Responsibilities

Warmly greet customers and provide prompt, courteous assistance
Process financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cashier’s checks, gift cards, savings bond redemptions, and loan payments
Verify customer identities, signatures, and account information to reduce fraud risks and protect customer accounts
Review checks for proper endorsements, dates, sufficient funds, payee identification, issuing bank validity, and overall legality
Log and process night deposit envelopes in accordance with dual-control procedures
Assist customers with Safe Deposit Box entry (if located at the branch) and process safe deposit box rental payments
Respond to customer inquiries, resolve routine account issues, and escalate complex matters appropriately
Identify opportunities to recommend additional products or services that meet customer needs and broaden their banking relationships
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BSA, AML, privacy laws)
Maintain a professional, organized and secure workspace; uphold confidentiality and security protocols
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Company’s mission, values, and customer service standards
