Part-time Receptionist Tuesday-Friday. 7:15-3:45 Full Job Description Upon Interview Scope The Receptionist serves to support the school staff and visitors in order to promote positive school/community relations. This is a part-time 12 month position. Qualifications The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect: A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for Christian Academy School System Agreement and belief that The Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind The ideal candidate shall possess: Proficiency of MS Office Suite and Google platforms A calm professional demeanor Proper telephone etiquette Effective interpersonal and communication skills Switchboard experience is preferred Accountabilities / Responsibilities Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job – both seen and heard Maintains integrity of instructional time with limited classroom interruptions Greets, screens, directs and relays messages from incoming callers and visitors Greets Substitute Teachers and distributes paperwork Assists students and parents by giving relevant information and/or referring to appropriate staff members Calls students to the office as requested by administration Receives phone calls from parents of absent students and notifies Teacher of homework requests Answers all incoming calls Handle questions for elementary and middle school Daily attendance recording and reporting to include making phone calls to parents that have not called in regarding student absences Coordinate homework requests for absent students Coordinate changes in carpool situations making sure that all proper permissions are received and appropriate teachers are notified Parent calls for kids that are left after carpool Coordinates things for the office such as forms that need to be turned in, conference schedules for conference day, mailings, filing, reports, preparing things to go home with students, etc. Prints badges for visitors Main point person for sick/ill/injured students since we don't have a nurse Calls students out for early dismissal Responsible for calling for a substitute if it is after sub-coordinator hours Helps with Back-to-School Events Coordinates back-to-school luncheons for the teachers Assists Office Manager when needed Assists Principal/Assistant Principals/Counselor when needed Other tasks requested by Principal and Office Manager
