About The Position

Civil Construction Contractors, LLC, is seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time (PT) Dump Truck Driver (CDL required) to safely transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, concrete, and debris to and from job sites throughout SE Louisiana (typically from Vacherie to Port Allen). The ideal candidate will have experience working in civil or industrial construction environments and a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Candidates must have a valid TWIC card and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. This would be a great job for someone with previous experience looking for a side gig or a semi-retired dump truck driver! PT DUMP TRUCK (CDL) DRIVER Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, depending on orders; shifts may not be every day. Shift starts at 6am & ends sometime after 12 noon (end time varies). PT DUMP TRUCK (CDL) DRIVER Key Responsibilities: Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to haul materials to and from construction sites. Load and unload materials as directed while ensuring proper weight distribution and secure loads in compliance with DOT regulations. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, load tickets, and related documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, foremen, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and site needs. Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Adhere to all company safety policies, traffic laws, and DOT regulations at all times. Assist in the maintenance of the truck by reporting any mechanical issues or needed repairs. Assist in the shop, yard, or jobsites during slow periods, including: Cleaning and organizing equipment, tools, and work areas. Assisting mechanics with basic maintenance or repairs. Helping with material handling, loading/unloading, or small tasks as needed. Performing other general labor duties to support field and shop operations. PT DUMP TRUCK (CDL) DRIVER Qualifications: Valid CDL Class A or B license (depending on vehicle requirements). Clean driving record with no major violations in the past five (5) years. Minimum of 2 years of dump truck experience , preferably in construction. Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement procedures. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused. PT DUMP TRUCK (CDL) DRIVER Physical Requirements: Ability to climb in and out of trucks multiple times daily. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical labor when required. Tolerance for working in varying weather and site conditions. Willingness to assist with non-driving tasks when needed. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. All candidates MUST possess a valid driver's license, TWIC and be able to pass a DISA pre-employment drug screen & alcohol test, physical and DISA background security check. Requirements
