What You'll Do as a CDL Dump Truck Driver: Operate Class A Tractor Trailers, including frameless end dump trailers, flatbed trailers, and Kenworth T880 tri-axle dump trucks. Haul & unload materials such as sand, topsoil, waste, and aggregates. Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep equipment clean. Follow DOT regulations, traffic laws, OSHA requirements, and company safety standards. Coordinate routes and deliveries with dispatch, plant personnel, and supervisors. Deliver loads accurately and on schedule. Travel within a typical 150-air-mile radius of the shop and return home nightly. Assist the team as needed and follow the supervisor's direction.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of CDL driving experience required
  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL required
  • At least 21 years of age with a reasonably clean driving record over the past 5 years and no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
  • Dependable: Shows up on time, works reliably, and represents the company professionally on the road and at job sites.
  • Self-motivated: Pays attention to equipment condition, load handling, and delivery details with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable: Willing to learn routes, equipment, and company procedures.
  • Active: Able to lift up to 100 lbs. as required and work regularly in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and weather.
  • GPS experience

Nice To Haves

  • dump truck experience preferred.
  • Comfortable using GPS and following delivery directions.
