About The Position

The PT Cycle Counter is responsible for accurately counting inventory in the warehouse, ensuring every location is counted at least once per quarter. This role involves identifying products, counting quantities, and entering data into the PkMS system. The individual will perform repeat counts as needed, maintain general housekeeping in inventory areas, and handle inventory reports and associated paperwork. Accuracy and speed in routine tasks are crucial. The position requires adherence to all safety rules, including those for hazardous materials, and the operation of RF scanning devices and the PkMS warehouse management system. The Cycle Counter will also print, monitor, and process tasks based on Crystal and PkMS report data and must be able to work autonomously. Occasional operation of forklift equipment is required, necessitating certification. Key competencies for this role include communication, customer focus, decision making/judgment, delivering results, dependability, job knowledge, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to insure proper counting of DC inventory.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Operational Access to PkMS (Menu DCAMENU20 or Menu DCAMENU40).

Responsibilities

  • Cycle Count inventory locations by identifying product, counting quantity, and entering into PkMS.
  • Cycle Count a specified number of inventory locations according to management's quota.
  • Perform repeat counts as dictated by management review of cycle counting data.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of the facility and specific inventory areas to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Follow and adhere to all safety rules, including the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Properly handle and file inventory reports and other associated paperwork.
  • Operate RF scanning devices on a daily basis.
  • Understand and operate the PkMS warehouse management system.
  • Print, monitor, and process tasks based on Crystal and PkMS report data.
  • Work autonomously and independent of supervision.
  • Occasionally operate forklift equipment (certification required).
