PT Claims Intern - Subrogation
About The Position
Maryland Auto Insurance seeks candidates to fill a part-time, contractual role in our Internship Program within the Subrogation Department. This is a part time position with a maximum of 29 hours per week for 8 weeks this summer starting June 8, 2026. This position is hybrid with both virtual and in office work. The candidate will be required to come into the office a minimum of once per week. Wednesday(s) will be a required in office day for educational lunch and learn sessions. The Subrogation Intern supports the Subrogation Claims staff.
Requirements
- Education: Currently enrolled in a college degree program (associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s)
Responsibilities
- Review claim files to understand loss details, liability, and recovery potential.
- Assist subrogation specialists by gathering documentation such as police reports, photos, statements, and claim notes.
- Support preparation of subrogation recovery files and basic correspondence.
- Conduct data analysis at the employee and group level to identify performance trends.
- Analyze historical subrogation results and research industry benchmarks.
- Build and update templates for data collection, reporting, and analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update internal tracking tools.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and educational programs.
- Assist with communication initiatives, including internal messaging or social media tasks as assigned.
