About The Position

GENERAL OVERVIEW: Provides support to the professional psychologists and neuropsychologists in the psychological and neuropsychological assessments. Prepares for, administers and scores standardized tests of cognitive, behavioral and emotional functioning as well as provides behavioral observations of patients during testing process and assists with daily clinical support activities which may include maintaining patient records, assisting with office visits and maintaining test supplies and space. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Administers and performs neuropsychological assessment procedures with patients (30%) Provides behavioral observations of patients during the testing process. Scores neuropsychological and psychological test. (20%) Administers psychological rating scales. (10%) Maintains accurate clinical record which includes editing written reports, documentation of office visits and filing record. (10%) Assists in training students to administer standardized tests. (10%) Assists with patient/provider communications under direction of supervisor (e.g., drafting letters, calling patients for appointment reminders. (10%) Assists with maintaining testing materials and space (e.g., completing protocol inventory, maintaining cleanliness of testing environment) (10%) Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to assisting in research studies.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • CPR – American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Nice To Haves

  • MA/MS
  • Encouraged to pursue certification with the Board of Certified Psychometrist within two years of hire
  • Clinical experience with psychiatric and/or neurological patients and experience administering and scoring neuropsychological and psychological test (e.g. WAIS, WMA)
