About The Position

Overview: This position will support the Biobehavioral Outcomes Core at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This institutional resource works with investigators and research teams to provide neuropsychological, developmental, and behavioral assessments for a variety of research studies being conducted across NCH. Additionally, this position would also involve participation in qualitative research activities, such as conducting focus groups, interviews, and qualitative data coding. The biobehavioral outcomes core supports a variety of pediatric departments and developmental stages. Qualified candidates will have experience administering psychological or neuropsychological assessment measures and/or experience working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions. Job Description Summary: Administers and interprets psychological tests to patients to assess their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Job Description: Essential Functions: Administers a variety of psychological tests under the supervision of a licensed psychologist to children and adolescents to assess their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Scores psychological tests according to test manuals and observes patient behavior. Communicates results to supervising psychologist. Maintains accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Ensures compliance with standard operating procedures of testing and scoring. Maintains rapport with patients through age-appropriate interaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, required.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with children of all ages and population.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in psychology or additional graduate course work, preferred.
  • Childcare experience or knowledge of test administration, preferred.
