The Child Mind Institute offers graduate students in doctoral psychology programs 12-month externships across seven specialized tracks: Anxiety Disorders Center, ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center, Autism Center, Clinical Assessment and Research, Gund Learning and Diagnostic Center (Neuropsychology), Mood Disorders Center, and Bubrick Center for Pediatric OCD Center. Externs will receive at least one hour of 1:1 supervision per week, along with an additional hour of group supervision. Direct observation will be provided at least once per academic semester, in accordance with NYNJADOT-PSYDNYS Externship Guidelines. Each externship is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2025, with a mandatory orientation on July 1 & 2, 2026, and conclude on June 30, 2027.
