About The Position

The Brigham Young University (BYU) Department of Psychology invites applicants of any academic rank to fill a full-time (continuing faculty status) professional-track faculty position to begin Winter Semester 2027. We specifically seek applicants with training in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience. Our department values high-quality teaching, a collegial academic culture, and student centeredness in all areas of faculty responsibility. Requirements

  • PhD in psychology or a related field. T he required degree must be completed by the start date.

  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All faculty are required to abide by the university’s Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology and neuroscience.
