The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and spend the majority of their time providing direct clinical services to students which includes initial appointments, crisis intervention, individual counseling and case management activities within the CMHC's established clinical model. The CMHC offers a broad range of clinical services which include group counseling, psychiatric services, psychological assessment, alcohol and other drug programming, biofeedback and trauma-informed treatments. In addition, the psychologist will design and implement educational outreach programs, provide consultation about psychological issues to the campus community, serve in at least one liaison role to a campus partner, provide clinical supervision and training for doctoral interns in the APA-accredited internship program and provide occasional afterhours work (e.g., critical campus incidents or outreach requests) on an as-needed-basis. The psychologist will also be expected to engage in scholarship activities which may include professional presentations, program development and/or research and publications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation as a generalist as well as an emerging or clearly defined area of professional specialization.
