Responsible for providing care to patients under the supervision and guidance of a psychiatry attending physician.

Requirements

Current BLS and ACLS certification
In good standing with the residency program.
Residents/fellows on a J-1 status are ineligible for moonlighting privileges.

Nice To Haves

M.D. or D.O. degree from a recognized medical school.
PGY-3 or above, as approved by the Program Director.
PRITE score > 40% nationally on the most recent PRITE examination.

Responsibilities

As requested, provide care for psychiatry department patients requiring evaluation and treatment in the inpatient, emergency department, and consultation settings.
Participates in effective communication with physician leadership, nursing leadership, clinical staff, patients, and families.
Accurately and timely completion of documentation of all patient encounters. Records will be attested to by the attending physician on-call. The billing provider will be the on-call attending physician.
Follows the Hackensack Meridian Health Medical Board Code of Conduct.
Participates in educational programs for professional staff.
