At Amae Health, we are dedicated to helping the 15.4 million Americans living with severe mental illness (SMI) lead stable, meaningful lives, while ending the cycle of repeat hospitalizations. In partnership with some of the nation’s top academic medical centers we’ve pioneered an innovative outpatient care model that combines compassionate, in-person psychiatric care with comprehensive wraparound support. Our integrated care teams — including psychiatrists, therapists, primary care physicians, health coaches, and peer support specialists — work together to treat the whole person via a unique model, addressing physical, mental, and social needs in unison. By caring for every aspect of our patients’ well-being, we help them not just survive, but truly thrive. Amae Health is a Series B venture-backed Public Benefit Corporation dedicated to becoming the nation's center of excellence for individuals living with severe mental illness (SMI). Backed by top-tier venture capital firms and strategic healthcare investors, we collaborate with prestigious health systems including NewYork-Presbyterian and Cedars-Sinai, underscoring our commitment to fundamentally transforming mental health care delivery at scale. We are hiring a Psychiatrist (full- or part-time) to join our growing Charlotte, NC clinic. You’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering personalized, compassionate, and high-quality care for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI). As a Psychiatrist at Amae you will play an integral role in our collective mission to become the center of excellence for SMI care. In alignment with Amae’s holistic wrap-around care model, you will co-manage a panel of complex members through behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, treatment planning, clinical treatment, medication management, and follow up planning. Working within a collaborative and shared decision making model, you will have the opportunity to partner with clinical staff, peer specialists, primary care providers and community partners. A patient advocate, you will help members navigate the health and social services systems in Charlotte, and work closely with patients to address problems and answer questions, gather and provide information and advice, connecting patients to resources and the community. Rooted in trust and rapport, you will initiate, establish and maintain relationships not only with patients, but also with families, as you care for members of Amae Health.
