Part Time - 10 hours a week, $200-260 an hour Full Time - 35 hours a week optional Position Summary: The Psychiatrist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to youth residing in residential congregate care settings. This includes conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and prescribing and managing psychotropic medications. The Psychiatrist works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, social workers, nurses, educators, and direct care staff to ensure youth receive trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and culturally competent care. The role requires a strong understanding of the complexities of child and adolescent mental health, especially within the context of trauma, family disruption, and systems involvement. The Psychiatrist also provides consultation, crisis support, and ongoing medication management to promote stability, emotional wellness, and long-term recovery for youth in care.
