About The Position

Adelphi is seeking psychiatrists to provide psychiatric services at a correctional facility in Kern County, California. The psychiatrists will perform specialized mental health evaluations and diagnoses on patients. Requirements

• Active CA license
• BC
• BLS
• DEA license
• DEA X -Waiver
• Previous experience with correctional facilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional medical and physical examinations on patients.
• Make diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment regimens.
• Make electronic entries in patient medical record.
• Administer medical treatment and diagnostic programs.
• Apply prior knowledge and training to unusual and varied medical and/or psychiatric conditions.
• Direct work of professional staff.
• Effectively collaborate and maintain a positive working relationship with all multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient
