Key Responsibilities: Provide expert psychiatric assessments and treatments to individuals participating in PROS and OASAS programs. Supervise and support Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and clinical staff. Develop and oversee medication management, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) such as Methadone. Participate in integrated treatment planning, clinical meetings, and staff development. Ensure accurate documentation, compliance with regulations, and effective communication with outside providers and agencies. Offer coverage and support for various clinical programs, including ACT Teams. Maintain proficiency with agency IT systems and documentation standards.
Requirements
- Licensed physician in New York State, with certification or eligibility from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Valid NY State driver’s license and clearance from the NYS Office of Mental Health.
- Experience in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and clinical supervision.
- Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of community resources and evidence-based practices.
