The primary responsibility of the Psychiatrist, MD will be to assist the Chief Clinical Officer in the delivery of an effective, efficient program of psychiatric services to adults and children, with particular emphasis on services essential to psychopharmacological services; integrated health services; effective diversion to outpatient community-based programs; liaison with medical community; team consultation; integration of primary and behavioral health care; and promotion of quality assured managed care service system. The Psychiatrist will directly report to the Chief Clinical Officer or their designate. Regular evaluations, as per Heartland's personnel policies, will be conducted by the Chief Clinical Officer or their appointee at least once a year. Additionally, the Psychiatrist will receive supervision from the Psychiatric Department Lead and will closely collaborate with other administrative staff and clinical program delivery staff to ensure effective service provision.
