About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Psychiatrist - Child and Adolescent to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. Requirements

  • Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Active New York State Medical License

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation, treatment and provision of direct care to child and adolescent patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate and provide consultation with the primary care emergency room pediatric service.
  • Supervise and teach residents and medical students.
  • Provide clinical guidance to other members of the healthcare team, as needed.
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality management projects, as assigned.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $278,200 (board eligible); $288,500 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
