About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Psychiatrist - Child and Adolescent to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. Opportunity Details: Evaluation, treatment and provision of direct care to child and adolescent patients in an outpatient setting. Collaborate and provide consultation with the primary care emergency room pediatric service. Supervise and teach residents and medical students. Provide clinical guidance to other members of the healthcare team, as needed. Participate in performance improvement and quality management projects, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Active New York State Medical License

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation, treatment and provision of direct care to child and adolescent patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate and provide consultation with the primary care emergency room pediatric service.
  • Supervise and teach residents and medical students.
  • Provide clinical guidance to other members of the healthcare team, as needed.
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality management projects, as assigned.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $278,200 (board eligible); $288,500 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $450,020 (board eligible) and $461,350 (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
