About The Position

Provides direct clinical social work services to community psychiatry patients, including: individual, group and family psychotherapy; patient and family education, consultation, facilitates intake evaluation clinics; assists psychiatrists in medication management; and provides some teaching in area of expertise.

Requirements

Master's degree from an accredited school of social work.
Must also adhere to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics and be licensed or eligible for licensure on the graduate level.
LMSW or eligible for licensure on the graduate level by the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners. License must be obtained with six (6) months of hire. In addition, two years after obtaining LMSW, must obtain the LICSW
Must be self-directed / self-motivated
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
