About The Position

Thriveworks is currently seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Jersey City, New Jersey. Clinicians need to be licensed and living in the state in which they will be practicing. This is a Fee for Service (W2) position, with compensation ranging from $71,000-$102,000 per year based on 15-20 clinical hours per week. Thriveworks emphasizes safety and best practices in telemedicine, offering stimulant medications based on client symptoms and diagnosis, with prescribing decisions at the clinician's discretion, but does not push or incentivize their use. The organization does not treat substance use disorders and refers severe cases to in-person providers. Thriveworks Nurse Practitioners are expected to provide care to a diverse population of clients with mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, ADHD, primarily adults and adolescents, with future expansion to all age groups. Requirements

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Board Certification required
  • Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority required in the state
  • Licensed and living in the state in which they will be practicing
  • 1 year of psychiatry practice is required
  • Part-time requires 15 - 20 hours of availability per week
  • Ability to see intakes in person and follow up with candidates in person every 90 days

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus
  • Three years of experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • See intakes in person and follow up with candidates in person every 90 days
  • Make Psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in an ongoing in-person and telemedicine capacity
  • Willingness to treat 14 years old and up
  • Prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms, as needed
  • Create and collaborate with clients on care plans
  • Complete and/or administer appropriate paperwork and assessment tools for clients
  • Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services at the various sites
  • Complete an in-house training on our ADHD treatment standards, guidelines, and approach, followed by a brief exam
  • Accept and treat ADHD clients
