About The Position

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide psychotropic medication management to patients in long-term care facilities. This low-stress position is ideal for someone looking to work outside a traditional clinic or hospital setting

Requirements

Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).
Current Nurse Practitioner license in specified location.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with medical documentation practices and occupational health principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Offering psychotropic medication management, including prescribing and monitoring medications.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure patient care.
Maintaining accurate medical documentation in line with regulatory standards.
Participating in clinical research initiatives when applicable.
Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatments.
