The Psychiatric/Mental Health RN serves as a core member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, contributing nursing expertise to the development and execution of individualized psychiatric care plans. This role involves continuous observation, assessment, and documentation of patients’ mental status, behaviors, and responses to psychiatric medications and interventions to guide treatment adjustments. The RN will also function as a Charge Nurse, coordinating and directing psychiatric nursing care, supporting staff performance, and ensuring a safe, structured, and recovery-focused environment. Key responsibilities include providing critical clinical input for treatment documentation, such as progress notes, care plans, and multidisciplinary reports, to ensure comprehensive and accurate patient records. Additionally, the RN will lead and facilitate therapeutic group activities that support patients' emotional regulation, social skills, and coping strategies as part of a holistic care approach. This is an hourly, full-time position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with day and afternoon shifts available, including weekend and holiday rotations. The position is located at the Summit Behavioral Healthcare Campus in Cincinnati, OH.
