We have an exciting opportunity for a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/PMHNP-BC to join our tight-knit and collaborative multidisciplinary team at our office in West Des Moines, IA! We are an experienced multi-disciplinary team dedicated to serving the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and adults throughout the Midwest. Requirements
- Unrestricted ARNP license to practice in Iowa required
- Unrestricted DEA license in Iowa required
- Must have current board certification by a national certifying body as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Candidates with SUD background will be given priority. Must be willing to see adults with Substance Abuse Disorders.
- Eligible for paneling on all major insurance plans and to participate in Medicare
- Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills, and safety awareness are required
- Must be comfortable with across-the-lifespan cases
Nice To Haves
- Experience with interventions such as TMS and Esketamine/Spravato would be favorably considered, but not required, as on-site training is available
Responsibilities
- Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations to include intake assessments as well as follow-up assessments.
- Provide outpatient interventional psychiatric services, including MAT, and Esketamine/Spravato, as indicated.
- Create, communicate, and carry out treatment plans with the patient and the patient's families
- Prescribe medications when necessary
- Communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plan
- Make referrals to specialists as appropriate
- Timely completion of clinical documentation
- Other duties as assigned
