Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine to join our dedicated provider team at Riverside Mental Health and Recovery Center in a full time capacity. This role focuses on providing Psychiatric Emergency care to individuals who may have a diagnosable mental health condition as defined by the DSM-V-TR . Our facility includes the Commonwealth's only Psychiatric Emergency Department, an acute Mental Health and Recovery Center with 70 adult beds and 20 adolescent beds , and an on-campus Outpatient Mental Health Clinic offering a collaborative environment where psychiatrists work alongside Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), licensed clinicians, nursing staff, and fellow psychiatrists . Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree in Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) – Required
  • 1–3 years of residency completion or demonstrated experience in psychiatry – Required
  • Active Virginia Physician License – Required
  • Valid DEA registration for controlled substances – Required

Responsibilities

  • Following EMTALA in caring for patients presenting to the Psychiatric ED
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary treatment rounds
  • Completing documentation in EPIC , our electronic medical record system
