Conduct psychiatric evaluations in the Emergency Department, for crisis outreach calls, and for direct admissions Consult with on‑call psychiatrists to determine patient disposition and implement recommendations Manage crisis calls from the community and respond to after-hours mental health emergencies Coordinate with ER staff to facilitate timely, compassionate inpatient admissions Communicate with referral sources, families, and payors to support continuity of care Complete documentation, legal admission forms, and required training Participate in a rotating on‑call/back‑up schedule to ensure 24/7 crisis coverage What do you need to be an Psychiatric Crisis Worker? Salary Range: $23.40-33.93 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
