Position: Diversion & Acute Stabilization (DAS) Psychiatric Counselor Pay Range: Up to $25/hour, based on education and related experience Schedule: Part Time, Saturday and Sunday 4p-12am Location: Homestead, PA Devereux/TCV Community Services is Hiring for a Part-Time Diversion & Acute Stabilization (DAS) Psychiatric Counselor! Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social/human services, or related field, required.
  • Prior experience working in social services with adults with behavioral health disorders, highly preferred.
  • 18 years of age or older required.
  • Valid driver's license (Preferred)
  • Agree to a PA state criminal history, child abuse record and FBI Clearance.
  • Agree to a pre-employment drug screening, one-step TB and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage individuals to meet their recovery goals, i.e., actively participate in treatment and therapeutic activities to enhance their lives.
  • Monitor individuals’ physical and emotional well-being, use de-escalation and emergency techniques, when necessary,
  • Develop and teach strategies to promote wellness and independence.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team including but not limited to psychiatrist, therapist, nurses and service coordinators.
