About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with seventeen locations across seven states, offering detox, residential, PHP IOP, and outpatient services. The centers are JCAHO and CARF accredited and in full compliance with all ASAM standards. Avenues Recovery Center is seeking compassionate professionals to join their team, specifically Psych Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) at their Metairie, LA location. The role involves creating individual medical care treatment plans and providing medical monitoring and medication management for clients throughout their treatment. Practitioners will provide quality medical care to stabilize patients, enabling them to fully engage in treatment. Key responsibilities also include updating pharmacy orders, creating UDS, med and lab orders, and reviewing and addressing UDS and lab results. The position requires collaboration with extended medical, clinical, and UR teams to ensure seamless coordination of care, maintaining thorough documentation of all medical interventions, consultations, and directives, and completing daily and weekly client appointment schedules in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

Valid state medical license, PMHNP
Federal DEA certification
Acute observational and critical thinking skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong collaborative and multitasking skills

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of experience in a related clinical setting

Responsibilities
